Koforidua Technical University Chapter of the Technical University Teachers Association of Ghana (TUTAG) is set to host the 39th Delegates Congress of the Association.

The Congress is scheduled to start on Thursday, 17th September 2020, and end on 19th September 2020. Congress men and women are expected to arrive in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional capital on Thursday, 17th September 2020. The Congress day is Friday, 18th September 2020, and delegates are expected to depart on Saturday.

It is expected that items to appear on the agenda may include 2018/ 2019 Book and Research Allowance Arrears; Update on conversion of Wa and Bolgatanga Technical Universities; Demand for payment of University rates for Technical Universities; and the Road to Parity.

It may be recalled that members of this Association through persistent and legitimate struggle were migrated in August 2019, to the payment structure of public universities flowing from their conversion in 2016 from Polytechnic to Technical University.

The 39th Congress is expected to address the gains made so far and also discuss the way forward in  order to be at parity with public universities in Ghana.

Speaking to Mr Ebenezer Narteh Nartey, the Organising Secretary of KTU Chapter of TUTAG, he explained that all arrangements have been made to make the 39th Congress a memorable one. Mr Nartey who is a Senior Member of the Hospitality Department assured that his many years of expertise in the hospitality industry will be brought to bear in the organization of the Congress.

Mr Nartey promised that the warm reception and treat he is putting in place will surpass that of ancient Greek. The hospitality giant was optimistic that delegates should only expect nothing but the best from Koforidua Technical University Chapter of TUTAG.
